
The 2025 College of Centra Florida Softball teams opens up their season this weekend with 4 games in Madeira Beach, FL. The Patriots will play in the annual JUCO Kickoff Classic with 16 other college teams from across the country.
The Pats play two games on Friday, January 24th. Game one will be against Gulf Coast State College at 12:30 pm and game two will be against Polk State at 3 pm. This event will be playing at a new venue this year in Madeira Beach at the ROC Park. On Sunday the Lady Pats will play two more games. Game one will be against USAF Academy out of Colorado at 9 am and game two vs Rend Lake Park out of Illinois at 2 pm.
CF is led by Head Coach Mike Lingle who is entering his fifth season at the helm of the Patriots. The team will carry 24 players on the roster.
The Pats have 10 girls back from last season. These returning sophomores include: Bailey Holmes OF/INF, Skyler Hodges P, Fantasy Mills OF, Hayley Turner INF, Raegan Geiger INF, Leah Clark INF, Amber Daugherty INF, Elizabeth Rosinski C/OF, Caitlin Blankenship INF, and Madison VanAllen P/OF. New transfer sophomores include: Gabrielle Rascher OF/IF and Peyton Hatcher INF.
New freshman include: Brooke Moss OF/C, Lusmari Segura OF/INF, Kaylee Cline P, Amy Crosby OF, Abbie Roach OF/C, Mary Day Elsenrath OF, Morgyn Stevens P/OF, Hailey Pyle P, Madison McCabe C, Madison Driggers INF/OF, Jazmin Keefauver OF, Sarah Stewart INF/C.
The Patriots finished last season as the 4th ranked team in the state and open up this season as the 4th ranked team in the FCSAA Coaches' Poll.
The first home game for the Patriots will be on Thursday, February 14th when they host Heartland Community College for a double header starting at 1 pm.
