Lady Pats Take Down #3 Team in the Country

The College of Central Florida Softball team took down one of the best teams in the country in game two of their doubleheader at Indian River State College. Madison VanAllen once again led the Pats on offense and in the circle to defeat the Pioneers. She pitched a complete game seven innings surrendering only three runs on three hits. At the plate, shewent two for three with to RBIs.

The Pats scored two runs in the sixth inning on a VanAllen single and a passed ball that allowed Gabrielle Rascher to score and take the lead.

In game one the Pioneers took an early 2-0 lead, however the Pats tied it up at two runs a piece when Rascher homered to center. She led the offense going two for three with two RBI. 

The Pioneer offense was too much to handle as they scored three in the fourth to take the lead and added runs in the fifth and sixth to extend their lead to 7-2.

The Pats will hit the road again on Saturday to play at Miami Dade and then finish up at home on Monday v Seminole State for their final games of the season.
