
After getting shutout in game one 4-0, the Patriots 2-run sixth inning propelled them to win gaem two. Down by one in the sixth, the Pats loaded the bases for pinch hitter Abbie Roach who came through with a single through the left side to tie it up at 2-2. Bailey Holmes followed up with a sac fly to center field to take the lead.
Morgyn Stevens threw a complete game in game two for the win. She only gave up three hits and two rins in seven innings, striking out three and walking two. Caitlin Blankenship went 2-3 and Holmes also went 2-3 with a run scored, two stolen bases and the game winning RBI.
In game one of the doubleheader the Patriots the Patriot offense was stiffled by the Sharks. They only managed three hits. Amber Daugherty and Blankenship both doubled.
Madison VanAllen gave Central Florida a solid start in the circle. She went five innings and only surrendered one run on five hits while wtriking out five.
The Patriots now are 18-18 on the season and 8-12 in Citrus Conference play.
