The College of Central Florida Patriots softball team travelled to Sanford to play a double header at Seminole State College. After losing game one 11-3, the Pats rebounded in game two to win 12-11.

Game 1: CF 3 - SSC 11

The Pats got off to an early lead, scoring two in the top of the first on Gabrielle Rascher's double. The lead was short lived as Seminole proceeded to score eight runs in the bottom of the inning to secure the lead. Patriot starting pitcher Hailey Pyle was unable to get out of the first inning giving up eight runs on six hits while walking two. Kaylee Cline entered in relief and gave the Patriots an inning and two thirds. She allowed only two runs on four hits. Madison VanAllen closed it out throwing three and a third innings and allowed just one run. The Patriots added another run 4th when Amber Daugherty connected for her second home run of the year.

Game 2: CF 12 - SSC 11

Game two was much better for the Patriot offense as they blasted 18 hits and scored 12 runs. They once again got off to an early lead by scoring five runs in the first inning off Seminole State's starting pitcher who was knocked out in the first after getting just one out. The Pats took advantage of a couple Seminole errors and Peyton Hatcher, Jazmin Keefauver, and Raegan Geiger all drove in runs. The Patriots got another one in the second when Hatcher drove in Leah Clark who had singled and stole second. Seminole responded by scoring two in each the second and third innings, however the Pats extended their lead with one in the fourth and four runs in the fifth. Amy Crosby hit a big triple to score two in the fifth. Seminole made a come back in the bottom of the seventh by scoring five but the Pats held off their rally and secured the win with Cline getting the last two outs and the save.

Six players had multiple hits in the game:

Bailey Holmes 3-5, 2R
Amy Crosby 2-5, 2R, 3RBI, 3B
