The Lady Pats travelled north to Gainesville to play two at Santa Fe College. The Pats looked to turn things around after dropping two to top ranked Florida Southwestern, however Santa Fe got the Pats twice.

Game 1: CF 4 - SFC 10

CF got off to an early lead with three runs in the first inning on an Amber Daugherty three-run home run, her first of the year. Santa Fe responded with a two run home run by Olivia LaMeau in the second off Patriot starter Hailey Pyle. The Saints hit another home run in the third inning to take the lead 5-3. They later extended their lead in the fifth with five more runs.

The Pats managed to score one more in the sixth when M McCabe drove in a run with a ground ball to short. CF had five hits in game one. Daugherty led the way going 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBI. Pyle gave up 10 runs (five earned) on 10 hits while striking out 3.

Game 2: CF 3 - SFC 5

The Pats took a tough walk off loss in game two. Down 2-1 in the 7th the Pats rallied back and scored two runs to take a 3-2 lead on a Gabrielle Rascher triple to right field. In the bottom of the seventh the lead off batter for the Saints reached on an error by Pats pitcher Kaylee Cline. The next batter followed up with a single which brought up Madi Conway who proceeded to hit a game ending walk-off home run to center field.

Morgyn Stevens started in the circle and gave the Pats a solid start going four and one-third innings. She allowed only two runs on 7 hits and struck out 2 batters. Cline took the loss in relief. She threw one and two-thirds innings giving up 3 runs on two hits.

Offensively the Pats had 10 walks in the game but managed only 3 hits. Leah Clark went 1 for 3 with a run, Amber Daughtery was one for 3 and Rascher was 1 for 3 with the two RBI triple.

The Patriots fall to 6-8 in conference play and 16-14 on the season. Their next games will be on Saturday, March 22nd at home vs the reigning National Champions Indian River State College. Game one will start at 12 PM.
