CF Softball Takes Two from Miami Dade to Get to 40 Wins

Game 1: CF 2 - MDC 1

Hailey Scott was the difference in game one as she hit two solo home runs for the Patriots. She hit one in the first and another in the sixth to take the lead. Haley Guffey pitched a complete game for her 17th win of the year. She allowed only six hits and struck out six. 

Game 2: CF 9 - MDC 0

The Pats shut out the Sharks in game two where Madison VanAllen threw a complete game five innings in the run rule and also drove in three runs at the plate. She only allowed three hits and struck out one to pick up her third win of the year. The Pats scored five runs in the second inning on a Raegan Geiger single, a Hayley Turner sac fly and a VanAllen double that scored three runs. Bailey Holmes and Emma Rogel had two hits each out of the Pats 11 hits in the game. 

The Pats get their 40th win to improve to 40-16 and 31-9 in Citrus Conference play. With one week of the regular season left the Patriots will play at St Pete on Tuesday for a doubleheader and home on Saturday vs Indian River.
