The CF Patriots softball team played their 4th consecutive road doubleheader on Tuesday and beat Hillsborough CC twice by the same score 13-1. The Patriots improved to 27-11 on the season with the two victories and 18-4 in Citrus Conference games.
Game 1: CF 13 - HCC 1
The Pats got off to an early lead in game one, scoring five runs in the first. Hailey Scott, Amber Daugherty and Emma Rogel all drove in runs in the inning. Zoe Riley added another run in the second inning on a single and later scored on a wild pitch. The Pats added another run in the third and five more in the fifth to secure the 8-run mercy run-rule after five innings. CF showed off their speed, stealing 8 bases in the game. Leah Clark had three stolen bases and Megan Loftis had two. Carly Allen threw three innings for the win (3-0), allowing only one unearned run on two hits and no walks while striking out five.
Game 2: CF 13 - HCC 1
Pats starter Haley Guffey started in the circle and gave the team a solid four innings to get her 11th win of the year. She allowed one unearned run on two hits and one walk, while striking out three. The Patriot offense continued where they left off scoring runs in all 5 innings of play. They were off to the races again on the base paths, stealing 10 bases in game two. Leading hitters were:

The Lady Pats hit the road again on Thursday to play at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce for another Citrus Conference doubleheader. First pitch is at 2 PM.
