Patriot Softball Wins Two at Florida State College at Jacksonville

The Lady Pats improve to 4-2 on the season with a sweep of the Blue Wave on the road on Thursday. In game one the Pats won 6-1 behind Madi Wicihowski's 4th inning grand slam which put the Patriots up 6-0. Megan Loftis (2-4, 2 SB), Emma Rogel (2-3, 2 RBI) and Hailey Scott (2-4) each had two hits in the game. Haley Guffey dominated in the circle, allowing only one hit, one walk and struck out six for her second win of the year. 

In Game two the Patriot offense blasted 15 hits and scored in every inning utimately ending in a 12-0 five-inning run rule. Leah Clark went a perfect 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored, a home run and 6 runs batted in. She doubled to score two in the first inning and hit a solo homer in the third. First baseman Zoe Riley later blaster her first home run of the season in the fifth where the Pats scored three more runs. Zoey Mills earned the win in the circle. She threw four innings and allowed only one hit and stuck out seven batters. 

The Patriots get a week off and will next be in action on Feb 9th for their home opener vs Heartland Community College. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 1 pm.
