Head Coach Mike Lingle enters his third season at the helm for the Pats as they look to defend their Conference and State Championships from last season. The Lady Patriots softball team will kick off their 2023 season in the annual JUCO Kickoff Classic in Clearwater, FL on January 27th. Over 30 teams from around the state and country compete in the 3-day tournament at Eddie C Moore Park. The Patriots play a tough schedule including games with some of the top teams in the state each year. This includes matchups with the reigning national champions Florida Southwestern State College, Indian River State, St Pete College, and Seminole State. They will also play in the Florida Southwestern State College Tournament February 4th-5th and in the CMI Tournament Feb 25th-26th.
The Mid-Florida Conference schedule has changed a bit this year with Lake Sumter State and St Johns River State College leaving the conference and going to NJCAA Division II. Central Florida will play six games against the other three conference teams Daytona State College, Santa Fe College, and Seminole State College. They will play two 3-game series against each team for a total of 18 conference games. Game one of each series will be a single game followed up with a double header for games two and three.
The 2023 FCSAA Region 8 State Tournament will be held again at the Soldiers Creek Softball Complex in Longwood, FL from May 5th-8th.
