Patriots Dominate Falcons 11-3 and 9-0

The College of Central Florida improved to 36-14 overall and 11-3 in conference after winning both games over Daytona State College on Tuesday. In game one the Pats were down 3-0 early before scoring 2 in the fourth and 6 in the fifth thanks to RBIs from Jade Fayad, Katie Hogue, Hannah Meyer, Lily Garnett-Brown, and Gabbie Haas in the inning. Katey Pierce earned the victory for College of Central Florida. She went seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out two improving to 7-2 on the season. 

In game two the Patriots shut out the Falcons 9-0. Jodasea Peterson took the win in her second start of the season for Central Florida. Peterson surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero. Kamaya Cohen had a stellar day for the Patriots at the plate, going 4-for-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs. The offense totaled 13 hits with Cohen, Madisyn Riggins (3-5, 4 RBI), Gianna Guerriero (2-5, 4R), and Jade Fayad (2-3, 2RBI) each having multiple hits.

The Patriots were next set to play Seminole State on Thursday, however those games have been moved to next Tuesday 4/12 due to incoming weather. their next games will now be on Saturday, 4/9 vs Lake Sumter State College at home in Ocala, FL. Game one will begin at 1 PM.
