PATRIOTS TAKE GAME ONE 6-0, DROP GAME TWO 3-2 TO TITANS

Savannah Barnett throws another complete game shutout, striking out 11 batters and only allowing one hit in her eight win of the season (8-2) in Central Florida's 6-0 vicotry in game one vs Eastern Florida State College. The Patriots offense put up one run in six of the seven innings. The offense was led by Brooke Roberts (2-4, 2 RBI) and Abbey O'Connor (2-3, 1 RBI) who each had multiple hits for the College of Central Florida. Gianna Guerriero also stole four bases and scored twice for the Pats.

In game two, the Patriots lost a close one on a walk off in the bottom of the seventh 3-2. The Patriots were unable to hold on to their 2-1 lead, allowing 2 runs in the inning on a sac fly and single to left. Central Florida scored two runs early in the first when Gianna Guerriero reached on an error by the Titan's shortstop and then later stole second before scoreing on Kamaya Cohen's single to center. Alyssa Adams then scored Cohen on another error by the Titan's shortstop to take a 2-0 lead. Katey Pierce (5-1), who took the loss in the circle, kept the Eastern Florida offense in check until the late runs in the seventh, striking out four and walking only two. 

The Patriots return to action again on Tuesday on the road at Tallahassee Community College at 3 PM.
