Lady Pats Advance to 20-3 After Weekend

Softball bounces back quickly after suffering only thier 3rd loss on the season on 2/26/21 to FSW with a strong weekend series of games. The Lady Pats go 5-0 on the weekend out scoring opponents 54-16 to put them at 20-3 on the year.

Game 1: Odalys Cordova and Reese Barley lead the offense both going 2-4 on the day combining for 7 total baseses and 2 runs scored. sophie Abrams Goes 7.0 in the circle allowing only 3 hits with 0 earned runs. Pats win on a score of 8-3.

Game 2: With an offensive explosion in the 3rd and 4th inning scoring 9 and then 7 respectively. Isabella Pinto goes 3-4 with 3 runs scored, Sierra Carter also tallys 3 hits and 2 runs, while both Gianna Gurriero and Odalys Cordova both have 2 hits and combine for 3 runs scored. With a blowout run-rule final of 16-1.

Game 3: The Lady Pats get on the board first in game 3 scoring one run in the top of the first, however Gulf Coast State answered right back with 2 of thier own in the bottom half of the innning. Both teams tack on a few more until CF takes the lead in the top of the 5th inning which they would hold onto for the rest of the game. Offensive leaders for the game are Chloe Nadler who went 3-3 with 2 2Bs and 2 runs scored, Odalys Cordova contiues he offensive campeign with 2 more hits and another run scored. Pats win 7-5.

Game 4: Georgia Military gave the pats a run for thier money commanding a 3-1 lead going into the bottom of the 4th inning, until an offensive explosion blew the game wide open. 3 Pats total 2 hits in the game including Gianna Gurriero, Chloe Nadler and Hannah Meyer. Meyer and Emily Dixon both go Big Fly combining for 4 RBI. Lady Pats take the win 9-4.

Game 5: The ladies came to play for their last game of the weekend, looking to leave no doubt that they are one of the top teams in the country. The Offense scored in every inning but the first with a 7 run top of the 5th inning to solidify a run rule vicorty of 14-3. Offensive leaders for the game are as follows; Kamaya Cohen 3-4 with a 3B and 3 RBI, as well as Hannah Meyer 2-3 1 2B and 1 RBI.
