The College of Central Florida softball team is off to a historic start in the 2020 season. With a 23-0 record, this past weekend the Patriots took down NJCAA Division 1 No. 6 ranked and defending National Champions, Chipola College. In game two, CF forced a run-rule to beat Broward 19-4 and the next two games were run-rule shutouts against Pensacola and Gulf Coast.

Olivia Simon lead the way at the plate for the Patriots batting over .640 on the weekend with five RBIs and several multi-base hits. In the circle, the Patriots were dominant with both Freshman pitchers Madison Edwards and Savannah Barnett throwing shutout victories in Day two of the tournament.

The Lady Patriots head into the week with a home double-header against Eastern Florida on Wednesday and a trip down to NJCAA Division 1 No. 3 ranked Florida Southwestern on Friday.
