PATRIOTS SOFTBALL MOVES ON TWO

PATRIOTS SOFTBALL MOVES ON TWO

Devyn Howard and Olivia Simon have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their softball careers. Head Coach Kevin Fagan is excited to see what this year will bring for these two Patriots and even more excited that they are continuing their education and that softball played a huge part.

"Devyn has impacted our program in one year as much as anyone who has ever played here. Her tenacity and the way she attacked every game helped propel us to our first State Title and a No. three finish in the National Tournament," says Fagan.

After the 2020 spring season, Devyn Howard will be continuing her education and softball career as a Lady Flame at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Howard played in 63 games as a freshman last season and boasted a .393 batting average with 10 homeruns and 56 RBI. She scored 69 of the Lady Patriots' runs and was phenomenal defensively with a .952 fielding percentage on the hot corner. Devyn was named State Tournament MVP in CF's first ever softball State Championship in school history.

Fagan says of Simon, "Alabama A&M is getting a diamond in the rough. She is just starting to tap into her potential and is a great athlete with amazing power at the plate."

Olivia Simon has decided to continue her career as a Lady Bulldog at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. As a freshman, Simon had a .384 batting average and an outstanding on-base-percentage of .650 in conference play.
