STECZO SHATTERS CF SOFTBALL SINGLE-SEASON HR RECORD

OCALA-- College of Central Florida softball first baseman Tiffany Steczo had a break-out sophomore season, shattering the program's single-season home run record (22) set by Amy Szymanowski back in 2014. Steczo finished first in the state, second in the nation with 28 homers on the season.

The NJCAA All-American was a rock in the Lady Patriot lineup, driving in 72 runs and recording a .945 slugging percentage during the 2019 campaign, good for Top 3 in the FCSAA. Steczo recorded a career-high six RBI versus Hillsborough Community College on February 12, 2019, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a home run and two runs scored.

Steczo helped lead the Lady Patriots to its first state tournament title in program history and a third place finish in the NJCAA Div. I Softball national tournament.

As a result of her offensive dominance this season, Steczo racked up multiple post-season awards, including: Mid-Florida First Team All-Conference, FCSAA First Team All-State, NFCA First Team All-Region, NFCA NJCAA Div. I Second Team All-American, and NJCAA Second Team All-American.

The Fleming Island, Fla. native recently graduated with her AA from CF and will be continuing her softball career at McNeese State University in the fall.
