FOUR #CFSOFTBALL PLAYERS NAMED NFCA ALL-AMERICANS

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida softball team had four players named National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I All-Americans.

Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year Lindsay Markham was named to first team, while center fielder Kayla Jensen received second team honors and Takiya London and Karli Woolington were each named to third team.

There were a total of forty-eight student-athletes from 24 different institutions who earned NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American honors, with CF and Florida SouthWestern State College leading all schools with four All-America nods. Other FCSAA institutions garnering All-American honors include Chipola College and Seminole State College.

CF clinched the conference title for the third time in four years under head coach Kevin Fagan, going 53-12 on the year, 22-2 in conference play. The Lady Patriots came into the season as the NJCAA preseaon No. 16 and was ranked Top 10 nationally for eight consecutive weeks, ranking as high as No. 5. 

CF led the state in several statistical categories throughout year that included: most home runs hit (67), most runs scored (503), most runs batted in (461), and on-base percentage (.582).

In the circle, the CF pitching staff finished No. 3 in FCSAA, No. 6 in NJCAA for lowest earned run average (1.70).
