#CFSOFTBALL LANDS 11 ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS, PITCHER OF THE YEAR

OCALA-- The College of Central Florida softball team picked up 11 Mid-Florida All-Conference selections as well as Pitcher of the Year at the conference meeting on Monday in Leesburg.

Lindsay Markham-Rosario led the Patriot honorees by being named the 2018 MFC Pitcher of the Year. Markham-Rosario leads the state and nation in total wins (26), while ranking No. 2 in the state for most strike outs (188) and Top 5 for lowest earned run average (1.01). The NJCAA and three-time FCSAA Pitcher of the Week is 26-3 on the year with two saves in 165.2 innings pitched. 

CF led all schools with eight first team all-conference selections, which included offensive powerhouse Takiya London. London ranks No. 2 in the state, top 10 in the nation, in total home runs (18) and No. 2 in the state, top 20 in the nation, in RBI (65). In addition to London, CF MFC First Team All-Conference selections include: Morgan Cushman, Gretchen Ebert, Olivia Pope, Kayla Jensen, Anina Fernandez, Karli Woolington and Markham-Rosario. 

Patriot players Bailey Wilson, Tiffany Steczo and Maggie Trgo were named to second team. 

CF will close out the regular season on Saturday when they host Indian River State College for a non-conference doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. Prior to the game at 12:30, CF will honor its six sophomores in a short ceremony.
