#CFSOFTBALL SWEEPS FSCJ, IMPROVES TO 4-0 IN MFC
OCALA--The College of Central Florida softball team swept Florida State College at Jacksonville to improve to 4-0 in Mid-Florida Conference play.
 
FCSAA No. 4/ NJCAA No. 8 CF (29-7) completed its second consecutive conference sweep, defeating the Blue Wave 9-1, 10-6 to remain perfect in conference. 
 
Lindsay Markham-Rosario threw a complete game two-hitter with five strike outs in game one to lead the Lady Patriots to a five-inning run rule. Takiya London led the CF offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, including a home run. Kayla Jensen (3-for-3) and Anina Fernandez (1-for-2) each added two RBI and a home run. 
 
Earlier Tuesday, CF swept the FCSAA softball player and pitcher of the week honors. Markham-Rosario was named FCSAA Pitcher of the Week for a second time this season, while London received FCSAA Player of the Week honors for the first time this year. 
 
In game two, London's bat continued to hurt FSCJ, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and her second homer of the day, to help the Lady Patriots rally from down 5-2. Freshman Aliyah Carter with the go ahead home in the bottom of the fifth to break the 6-6 tie and put CF ahead for good. 
 
Carter finished the day 1-for-2 with two runs scored, while Olivia Pop went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a home run to help complete the sweep.
 
CF will be back in action on Thursday when they head to Seminole State College for a conference doubleheader at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Seminole is the reigning Mid-Florida Conference champions and finished No. 3 in the state tournament a year ago.
