OCALA-- The College of Central Florida softball team continues to garner off-season honors as four players were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I All-Americans.

NFCA First Team All-Region selections Brooke Barlow and Caeley Nix received NFCA Second Team All-American honors, while fellow all-region honorees Kelsee Cullop and Destinee Lizzmore were named to third team. 

There were a total of forty-eight student-athletes from 24 different institutions who earned NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American honors, with CF being one of only four NJCAA institutions to garner four All-America nods. The other institutions include fellow FCSAA members Chipola College and Florida Southwestern, and Howard College. NJCAA national champions Butler Community College led all institutions with five All-Americans.

A few weeks prior, NFCA released their All-Region team in which five Patriot athletes received honors. Sophomores Barlow, Cullop, Lizzmore and Nix received first team honors, while freshman pitcher Morgan Cushman was named to second team all-region. 

CF finished runner-up in the Mid-Florida Conference, going 51-15 on the year, 18-6 in conference play. The Lady Patriots came into the season as the NJCAA preseaon No. 1 and was ranked Top 10 nationally for seven consecutive weeks. 

CF led the state in several statistical categories throughout year that included: most home runs hit (60), most runs scored (471), and most runs batted in (422).

In the circle, the CF pitching staff finished No. 3 in FCSAA, No. 4 in NJCAA for lowest earned run average (1.58).
