OCALA--The CF softball team was back in action on Saturday afternoon, run-ruling Miami Dade in a pair of games at CF Complex. 

The Lady Patriots kicked off the doubleheader with a 9-0, five-inning rout. Freshman Shayne O'Connell continued her dominance in the circle, not allowing a hit in four innings of work and struck out seven in the win. 

At the plate, Claudia Jones and Tiffani Railey each went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and a run scored. 

In the second game, CF's offense came out firing, plating six runs in the first inning. They would go on to add four more insurance runs in the third to defeat the Sharks 10-0 in five innings. 

Destinee Lizzmore went 1-for-2 at the plate with a three-run homer and scoring two runs, while catcher Hannah Kelly went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI including her third home run of the year. 

In the circle, Morgan Cushman didn't allow a run or hit in three innings while striking out seven in the win.

As a team, CF notched 19 hits on the day and the Patriot pitching staff held MDC to just two hits.
