LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 2016 NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American Teams, consisting of 48 student-athletes from 29 different institutions, were announced by the Association on Wednesday afternoon.

College of Central Florida softball team led the way with five overall selections and four on the first team. Tyler Junior College came in with four honors and three on the first team. Reaping three nods each were Florida Southwestern State College, national champion Butler Community College, Western Nebraska Community College, Chipola College and Howard College.

Northwest Florida State College and Gulf Coast State College rounded out the list of schools in possession of multiple inclusions.

Representing College of Central Florida on the first team are pitcher Kalen McGill, infielder Brooke Barlow and outfielders Kelsee Cullop and Mariah Wise. McGill set the program's single-season win record, posting a 33-4 mark with a NJCAA DI-best 0.83 ERA and 124 strikeouts. Barlow became just the third player in Region 8 history to knock in over 100 runs in a single season, finishing second in NJCAA DI with 107. She hit .471 on the year with 97 hits, 20 doubles, 19 home runs, a .525 on-base percentage and .864 slugging percentage. Cullop, a Marucci Elite Hitter, was the top hitter in District G, Region 8 with a .476 average. She recorded 100 hits with 20 doubles, five triples, 11 round trippers, 93 RBI and 87 runs scored. Wise, a sophomore, swiped 67 bases, second most in NJCAA 1, and was caught just once. She matched Barlow with 97 hits and a .471 batting average, while leading the squad with 10 triples and 91 runs scored.

Infielder Caeley Nix rounded out the list, landing second team honors. Nix finished the season top 10 in the state for highest batting average (.453), while scoring 80 runs and driving in 42.
