OCALA--The College of Central Florida softball program was well represented when the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its 2016 NJCAA Division I All-Region Teams.

The Patriots had five players earn first-team honors, which was the most of any team in the nation.

CF, which has spent the bulk of the last two seasons ranked No. 1 nationally, dominated the South Region's list.

Earning first team honors for the Patriots were Kalen McGill, Brooke Barlow, Kelsee Cullop, Caeley Nix and Mariah Wise. Each of these players were also named to the FCSAA and Mid-Florida Conference first teams.

McGill set the single season school record for pitching victories, while Barlow became just the third player in Region 8 history to drive in over 100 runs in a single season.

For the year, McGill led the nation with an 0.83 ERA, while Barlow was first in the state second nationally in RBI with 107.

Aside from ERA, McGill was second nationally with 33 pitching wins.

In addition to her RBI, Barlow was second in Region 8 with 19 home runs.
