OCALA--Kalen McGill tied one of the longest-standing school records for the College of Central Florida softball team.
McGill earned her 31st win of the season, which tied the all-time school record of pitcher Kristen Keyes in 2001, as CF shut out Hillsborough Community College 11-0.
The Patriots then followed that up with a 10-2 win in the second game.
For McGill (31-1), she allowed three hits in five shutout innings.
CF scored in all four of its at-bats in the mercy rule win.
From there, the Patriots rallied from down 2-0 early with eight runs in the second inning, as Lindsey White went five innings to get the win.
CF (58-2) was led at the plate by Mariah Wise (2-for-6, four runs scored), Caeley Nix (4-for-8, four runs scored, two RBI), Kelsee Cullop (4-for-7, six RBI, double, triple, two runs scored), Brooke Barlow (2-for-6, two runs scored, home run, four RBI), Tiona Hill (4-for-5, four runs scored), Edrienne Williams (4-for-6, two runs scored, five RBI, home run, triple), Kylie Holton (1-for-3, RBI) and Destinee Lizzmore (3-for-5, two RBI, run scored, home run).
The Patriots visit State College of Florida-Manatee on Friday.
CF's final home doubleheader of the regular season will take place on Saturday against Indian River State College at 1 p.m. All CF Softball sophomores will be honored prior to the start of the 1 p.m. game.
