OCALA--The College of Central Florida softball team swept the NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Week honors that were announced on Tuesday.

For the second time this season, Kalen McGill earned Pitcher of the Week, becoming the first Patriot to do so since Holly McKinnon in 2015.

McGill was 4-0 with a 1.40 ERA in four complete game victories. 

She struck out 16 in 22 innings of work.

Meanwhile, outfielder Mariah Wise was named player of the week, as she went 15-for-25 during the voting period with 16 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, two doubles and four RBI over eight games.

Among the game highlights for Wise was a 5-for-5 effort against nationally-ranked Miami Dade and a four-hit effort over the course of a doubleheader against Florida Southwestern.
