Cullop named FCSAA Softball Player of the Week

OCALA-- Kelsee Cullop was a huge reason why the College of Central Florida dominated the Panhandle Conference this past weekend.

CF went 5-0 against the conference, which features the defending NJCAA National Champions, and Cullop's effort throughout that event helped her earn the FCSAA Softball Player of the Week.

Cullop went 13-for-25 with 15 runs scored, 12 RBI, three homers and three doubles.

The freshman outfielder also stole three bases for the Patriots, who are ranked No. 1 in the state with a 15-0 record.

Cullop's biggest day was Valentine's Day, as CF swept Northwest Florida State, Tallahassee and defending national champion Chipola.

During the course of those three games, Cullop went 9-for-11 with eight runs scored, two homers and six RBI.

Over the course of the voting period, Cullop scored at least one run in every game and hit safely in six of seven outings.

Cullop became the second CF player honored by the FCSAA this season.

Last week, Kalen McGill earned pitcher of the week for Region 8 and also was named NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week.
