Holly McKinnon, Softball

CF Softball player Holly McKinnon is this week's Patriot Player of the Week Award sponsored by Insight Credit Union. McKinnon is coming off a great few weeks in which she threw a no-hitter against HCC two weeks ago and earned FCSAA and NJCAA Player of the Week honors. Also, she earned two quality wins over nationally ranked Tallahassee and Polk State, not allowing an earned run and striking out 15. 

A transfer from South Alabama, McKinnon has been a force to be reckoned with with this year in the FCSAA. She has helped lead the softball team to its first-ever NJCAA No. 1 ranking, as well as lead the nation in several individual categories. Currently, McKinnon leads the nation in wins with 15 (15-1 record on the season, 1-0 in conference), seven being shutout wins. She is also top 10 in NJCAA in strike outs (93) and top 20 for lowest ERA (1.01).
