OCALA-The College of Central Florida sophomore pitcher Holly McKinnon added the NJCAA Pitcher of the Week award to her list of honors so far this season.

McKinnon, 13-1 with a 1.19 ERA on the year, was named FCSAA Pitcher of the Week earlier this week and was honored by the national office for her efforts in leading the Patriots.

In a pair of complete game wins this past week, McKinnon allowed just three hits and compiled a 0.58 ERA in 12 innings of work.

The North Marion High product defeated No. 5 Indian River in a battle of nationally-ranked teams, before she tossed a no-hitter on the road against Hillsborough Community College.

Overall, McKinnon has helped CF to seven shutouts wins, good for third in the nation.

Since then, McKinnon pitched CF past Tallahassee Community College, ranked No. 9 in the nation.

The Patriots, 26-2 on the year, host Polk State on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
