Szymanowski named NJCAA All-American, MCF AOY

The awards keep rolling in for College of Central Florida's Amy Szymanowski. She was just named NJCAA First Team All-American after a stellar outing at the NJCAA National Softball Tournament. There she tied the tournament record for most home runs hit (4) as well as being named to the all-tournament team.

Szymanowski, the state's career leader in home runs, also earned both the Mid-Florida Conference's Female Athlete of the Year and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards.

The Florida State signee, who hit 39 home runs for her career, was one of 34 student-athletes from CF to earn academic recognition from the MFC for earning over a 3.0 grade-point average on a minimum of 24 credits.

Szymanowski has already earned the FCSAA's Jean Williams Award, along with numerous state, conference and college awards during her sophomore year, which culminated in her helping the Patriots reach the NJCAA National Championship Game.
