Dawson Harman is on pace to break the CF school record for home runs in a season (22) after he blasted two more in the Patriots 11-7 win over the Hillsborough Community College Hawks on Thursday afternoon in Tampa. Harman's sixteen home runs place him third in the NJCAA and first in the state.

The Patriots jumped out to an early 3-0 lead when Miles Curley doubled off the centerfield wall in the first and Gio Mendoza doubled home two runs in the second inning. A Harman RBI single and his first home run made it a 5-0 game.

Kohl Kilcrease (2-0), the Patriots starting pitcher was cruising through four innings before he found trouble. Kilcrease would finish with 5+ innings allowing 7 hits and 7 runs with only two being earned runs and 9 strikeouts. Karson Lindsey relieved Kilcrease in the sixth inning and finished out the game to earn his first save of the season. Lindsey went four innings allowing three hits, no runs, with two strikeouts.

CF would put the game away on Harman's second home run, an Anthony Diaz two run double and a Tanner Swank sacrifice fly.

Central Florida (28-11, 13-9) and Hillsborough (16-22, 8-14) will conclude the three game Citrus Conference series in Ocala on Saturday with a doubleheader. First game starts at Noon.
