The Patriots bounced back to win game two of their doubleheader on Saturday 9-7 over the State College of Florida Manatees after suffering their worst loss of the season in game one, 13-0.

CF entered game two knowing they had to win to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Manatees. After falling behind 5-1, the Pats offense came to life. A Logan Chapman single drove home Dawson Harman who reached base with the first of his three doubles to make it a 5-2 game in the third inning. In the fourth inning the Pats would take the lead 6-5. Two runs scored on another Harman double and a Miles Curley groundout. That was immediately followed by a Victor Martinez two-run home run. Martinez would homer again in the sixth inning to make it an &-5 game. Martinez now has nine home runs on the season. The Pats ninth and final run of the game scored on a Tanner Swank single in the seventh inning.

Jose Paniagua (3-0) won in relief of starter Jay Jung throwing 3.1 innings allowing only one hit, one run with five strikeouts. Pats' closer, Arturo Ormaza, tossed the final 2.1 innings allowing only one hit, no earned runs, with two strikeouts for his fourth save of the season.

Leading the offense in game two were: Harman (3 doubles, 3 runs, RBI), Martinez (2 home runs 8 & 9, 4 RBI), Curley (double, 2 RBI) and Swank (2 hits, RBI).

The Pats are currently 12-9 in the Citrus Conference play which places them in fourth place with 12 conference games remaining. Overall CF is 27-10. The Manatees are 25-13 and 13-8 (3rd place) in conference.

The Pats play again on Tuesday in Leesburg, 2:00 PM against the Lake Sumter State College Lake Hawks (24-14).
