The College of Central Florida Patriots fought back from a four run deficit to take the lead heading into the ninth inning, but a walk-off grand slam by State College of Florida Manatee's second baseman, Allan Gil did in the Pats, 10-6.

CF starting pitcher, Brayden Toro gave up nine hits in 4.1 innings, but did not allow an earned run. Some shaky defense by CF allowed the Manatees to build a 5-1 lead heading into the sixth inning. In the sixth the Pats got within one run of SCF at 5-4 on a Tanner Swank RBI single and a triple by Marcus Bradshaw that plated  two more runs.

After Anthony Diaz walked to lead off the top of the eighth inning, Miles Curley connected on his third HR of the season to give CF their first lead at 6-5.

With a one run lead heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pats couldn't record an out. Myles Davis singled to lead off, Ben Ryan walked, followed by a Luke Boykin bunt single. Holden Brauner was hit by a pitch to tie the game at 6-6. Gil then drove the second pitch he saw over the left field fence for the SCF win.

Leading the offense for the Patriots were; Bradshaw (2-5, 3B, 2 RBI), Curley (HR#3, 2 RBI), Swank (2-3, 2R, RBI), and Armando Guirola (2-4, R).

The win improves SCF to 24-12, 12-7 in the Citrus Conference and the loss drops CF to 26-9, 11-8 in the Citrus Conference.

The same two teams will conclude the three-game series with a doubleheader at Goodlett Field on the campus of the College of Central Florida on Saturday. Game times are 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM.
