Sophomore centerfielder Anthony Diaz has committed to play at the University of New Mexico next year. New Mexico is a Division 1 program in the Mountain West Conference. 

Diaz, an Arizona native, had a solid freshman season hitting .282/.385/.403 with 3 home runs and 4 doubles. He was really good defensively for the Patriots in centerfield, making just one error all season. With his commitment Diaz becomes the 49th Division 1 commit for the Patriots since 2001.
