The College of Central Florida baseball team traveled to Gainesville to play Santa Fe College in a Citrus Conference matchup. The Patriots out hit the Saints seven to five however they were unable to drive in any runs in the 2-0 loss. Patriot starter Todd Kniebbe threw two shutout innings, allowing only one hit, striking out three and walking two. Evan Dobias took the loss, throwing four innings. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out three.

Kareh Valentin (2-4, BB) and Edwin Toribio (2-5) each collected two hits. Gunnett Carlson had the Patriots lone extra base hit with a double in the 5th.

The Pats fall to 18-14 on the season and 7-9 in Citrus Conference play. Tentatively the Patriots will finish their three-game series with Santa Fe on Saturday with a double header starting at 12 pm, however there is a chance of rain Saturday that could push the double header to Sunday.
