The College of Central Florida baseball team jumped out to an early lead in their mid week non-conference match up vs Florida State College at Jacksonville scoring 4 runs in the first on an Edwin Toribio solo home run, an RBI single by Anthony Diaz, and a 2 RBI single by Marcus Bradshaw. The Blue Wave tied it back up at four in the second, but the Pats took the lead back when Austin Eppley doubled to score a run and Kainen Jorge hit his 9th home run of the season. Jack Garvey got the win in relief of starter Ian Moore. Garvey threw one inning, allowing one run on three hits. Patriot relievers Fulton Lockhart (2.1 Inn, 5 K), Cortland Clarke (1 Inn, 3 K) and Karson Lindsey (1 Inn, 3 K) all shut down the Blue Wave offense in their outings. The Patriot staff struck out a combined 13 batters in the game. Marcus Bradshaw was the leading hitter for the Pats, going 2-4 with 3 RBI and a HR.

The Patriots improve to 18-13 on the season and next play a Citrus Conference series with Santa Fe College on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday's game will be on the road in Gainsville at 3 PM. Saturday's doubleheader will be at home in Ocala with the first game starting at 12 PM.
