CF Baseball Blasts 4 HRs in 12-1 Win at South Florida

The College of Central Florida Patriots' (5-3) power came alive in their 12-1 win over the South Florida State College Panthers in Avon Park on Friday afternoon.

Kareh Valentin connected on his first two home runs of the season which included four RBI. Both Edwin Toribio (3 RBI) and Kainen Jorge (2 RBI) hit their second home runs of the season. Cooper Jones, Anthony Diaz, and Gunnett Carlson each collected two hits in the game.

Evan Dobias (1-0) earned the win with 2.1 innings in relief allowing only two hits, no runs, and striking out four. Cortland Clarke had his best outing of the season going 4.2 innings allowing five hits, one run, and striking out three Panther batters.

The Pats return home to Goodlett Field on Saturday, Feb 10th for a doubleheader against South Georgia State College (4-4). Game 1 starts at Noon.
