Thirteen Patriots Make All-Mid-Florida Conference Teams

The College of Central Florida Baseball team had 13 players make the All-Mid-Florida Conference teams. Seven players made first team all-conference and six made second team all-conference. Three players were honored with Player of the Year Awards. 

Edwin Toribio, who led the state with 20 HR and had 72 RBI while hitting .409 was named Mid-Florida Conference Player of the Year. 

Cam Schuelke, who had 7 wins, 6 saves and a 0.84 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 42 ⅔ innings was named Mid-Florida Conference Fireman of the Year. 

Kareh Valentin, the Patriots shortstop, who had a .969 fielding percentage making only 5 errors in 162 total chances was named Mid-Florida Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

In his 29th season at the helm of the baseball program, Marty Smith was named the Mid-Florida Conference Coach of the Year. Smith led the Pats to a 46-6 overall record. CF went 19-5 in conference and have now won 3 of the last 4 Mid-Florida Conference titles.
