Caleb Cali and Ben Chestnutt Earn All-American Honors

The NJCAA Division I Baseball Committee recently announced their selections for the 2022 NJCAA DI Baseball All-America Teams and two College of Central Florida Patriots players made it on there. Infielder Caleb Cali earned First Team All-American honors and pitcher Ben Chestnutt earned Third Team All-American honors.

Both players had major impacts on Central Florida's record breaking year this season. Caleb Cali hit .438 for the season with a .533 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of .826. He had one of the best offensive season's that CF has ever had driving in 77 runs with 17 home runs, 22 doubles (tying the school record), and breaking the CF extra base his record with 45. He totaled 96 hits on the season. 

Ben Chestnutt was stellar on the mound for the Patriots this year. With an 11-1 record, he led the team with 83 innings and 106 strike outs. He threw a team leading 5 complete games and had an ERA of 3.90. In conference play, Ben went 7-0 with a 1.60 ERA and struck out 61 batters in 45 innings pitched.
