#CFBASEBALL BLAST 5 HOMERS IN RUN-RULE OF FSCJ

OCALA--- The College of Central Florida baseball team continues to rake, hitting five more home runs in the 13-3 run-rule of Florida State College at Jacksonville on Monday afternoon at Goodlett Field. CF now in sole possession of second place at 16-5 in the Mid-Florida Conference, one game ahead of St. John's River State College with three games to play.

UNF commit Tanner May got things going in the bottom of the first inning with his fifth home run in four games to put the Patriots ahead 2-0.

FSCJ countered with a two-out, two-RBI double to tie things up in the second inning, but the combination of solid pitching and high-powered offense proved too much for the Blue Wave.

CF plated 11 runs in the third and fourth innings, including back-to-back homers from Yorvis Torrealba and Ricky Presno in the third and fourth innings. infielder Zach West sealed the run-rule with a bases-clearing double in the fourth.

On the mound, Austin Nickle allowed just two earned runs on three hits and struck out six for to improve to 5-0.

West finished the day 1-for-2 at the plate with four RBI. Presno (2-for-3, 2 HR), Torreabla (2-for-3, 2 HR) and May (1-for-2, HR) each drove in two runs. 

The Patriots have hit 17 home runs in the past four games, with Torrealba (5) and May (5) combing for 10 of 17. CF's home run total now sits at 81, ranking No.1 in the state and No. 2 in the NJCAA.

CF travels to NJCAA No. 1 Santa Fe College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. start.
