SANFORD- The College of Central Florida baseball team won its sixth straight game with a 4-2 win over Mid-Florida Conference rival Seminole State in Sanford on Wednesday afternoon.
The Patriots (22-12, 7-3) led 4-0 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, but the Raiders scored twice and had two-on and two-out.
From there, Zach Whitaker closed the game out and CF improved to 2-0 on the season against Seminole.
David Lebron scattered seven hits in seven scoreless innings and earned the win for the Patriots. Lebron struck out seven and didn't walk a batter.
At the plate, CF was led by Ryan Crile (1-for-4, RBI), Christian Khawam (1-for-3), Justin Ambrosino (2-for-5, RBI), Colby Brown (1-for-4), Malik Tatis (solo home run), Nick Mira (1-for-2) and Andrew Frazier (2-for-3, two runs scored, RBI).
CF returns to action on Monday afternoon at 3 p .m. when it hosts Pasco-Hernando.
