Ocala, FL-- The College of Central Florida baseball team saw its five-game winning streak snapped with a 7-3 road loss against Daytona State.

The Patriots (25-14, 10-5) fell behind 4-0 in the opening inning and could never recover.

CF was led at the plate by Christian Khawam (2 for 4), Enderson Velasquez (1 for 3, RBI), Justin Ambrosino (2 for 4, two-run homer), Ryan Smith (1 for 4, triple) and Ryan Crile (3 for 4, double).

The Patriots finished with 12 hits, but were unable to rally past the Falcons (14-14, 7-8), who lost the first two meetings to CF. Weston Pope receives the loss for the Patriots.

The College of Central Florida baseball team will be back in action on Wednesday on the road vs. Santa Fe. First pitch will be at 3 p.m.
