CF Baseball splits with South Georgia St.

Ocala, FL-- The College of Central Florida baseball team split a doubleheader with South Georgia State and improved to 6-2 on the season.

After dropping the opener, 4-0, the Patriots battled back behind Robby Frantzis (2-0), who went the distance in a 5-2 win.

Frantzis allowed two runs on five hits. The Lakeland High product walked two and struck out six.
Connor Crile went 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Robby Jolley knocked in two runs. Collin Woody went 1-for-2 with one run scored and an RBI for the Patriots, who are now 5-1 at home this season.

CF opened up a one-run game with three runs in the fifth.

In the opener, the Patriots managed just three hits and were shut out for the first time this season.

Christian Khawam, Colby Brown and A.J. Elkins had hits for CF.

Boomer Biegalski (1-1) allowed one earned on two hits in five innings of work in the loss for the Patriots. The freshman from Tallahassee walked three and struck out seven.
