Mike Lingle enters his 2nd season as head coach of the Lady Patriots.  Last season the Lady Patriots completed their season with a 44-8 record while being crowned Mid-Florida champions and maintaining the #1 or #2 spot in the FSCAA State Polls throughout the entire season.  Lingle’s squad saw 8 players selected to 1st team All-Conference, 6 players were selected to the All-State Team, and 2 players became NJCAA 1st team All-Americans (Odalys Cordova and Gianna Guerriero).  The Lady Patriots potent offense led the state in a multiple of categories including batting avg (.423), hits (660), doubles (104), triples (20), and 3rd in HR’s with (55).  Lingles’s Patriots blazed the base paths as they led the nation in stolen bases with 236.   The flashy shortstop, Odalys Cordova, was crowned FSCAA state “Player of the Year” while pitcher Madison Edwards was crowned conference “Pitcher of the Year”.  The Patriot pitching staff kept opposing offenses in check while having the 2nd best team ERA in the state at 2.81.
