Patriots 2023 Cross Country Schedule Announced

OCALA, Fla. –  After the inaugural Women's Cross Country season for the College of Central Florida that included the NJCAA National Half Marathon - Brianna Carey, Heidi Kearney, and Madison Strickland scoring for the Pats, and Carey setting the school 5k record, the Lady Patriots are ready for season two.  The team looks to break their personal records under Head Coach Lauren Lumley

Brianna Carey, Heidi Kearney, and Madison Strickland will return this season as sophomores alongside seven freshmen: Magda Barcia, Iraly Faria, Myra Hill, Autumnskye Hirschi, Caitlin Perusse, Erica Pickron, and Jensen Plante.   
 
The 2023 race season begins on Friday, September 1 at 7:15 a.m. as the team opens up at the Florida Southern College Mocs XC Kick-Off at Holloway Park in Lakeland.
 
Two weeks later, the Lady Patriots will travel to Daytona Beach to take part in the Embry Riddle Invite. Two weeks after the invite, CF will head to the state capital and compete at the FSU Invite in Tallahassee on Friday, September 29 at Apalachee Regional Park which is the site home to the FCSAA Region 8 Championships later in the season.
 
The Pats will next be in action on a fast course at the FGC Invite on October 13 in Lake City. A little over a week later, the team will return to Apalachee Regional Park on Tuesday, October 24th.
 
Two weeks following the FCSAA Championships, the Patriots will head to Alabama to compete in the NJCAA 5k Championships in Huntsville on November 11. The 2023 NJCAA National Championship Half Marathon then takes place three days later on November 14 in Huntsville, Alabama.
