Pats Softball Throws Combined No-Hitter in Game 1 of Doubleheader Sweep Over Heartland

Three Patriot pitchers combine to no-hit Heartland in Game 1. Haley Guffey threw 3 innings with 5Ks, Skyler Hodges threw 1 1/3rd innings and Emma Wyman closed it out with 2/3rds of an inning. The Patriots scored 5 runs in the first en route to their 10-0 victory. Madi Wicihowski blasted a two-run homer in the first, her second HR of the year. The Pats had 12 hits in the game and Madison VanAllen went 2-2 with a double.

In Game 2 it was much of the same with the Lady Pats getting out to an early lead scoring one run in the second on a Avery Lawson double, three runs in the 3rd and three more in the 4th on Emma Rogel's three-run home run. Zoe Riley also homered in the 6th to add two more runs. The final score was 10-1. Carly Allen earned the win, throwing three innings allowing only two hits and no runs while striking out four. Wichihowski stayed hot with two hits. 

The Pats improved to 6-2 on the season with the two wins and get a week off before playing a home doubleheader vs St Johns River next Saturday, Feb 17th, starting at 1 PM.
