The College of Central Florida Patriots Softball team improves to 6-1 in conference play and remains on top in the standings with their 6-0 victory at Daytona State. Patriot pitchers Haley Guffey and Anna Toon combine for the shoutout allowing only one hit each. Guffey threw 3 innings striking out 2 while Toon threw 4 innings and struck out 4. 

Megan Loftis (3-4, R, RBI) and Hailey Scott (2-3, R) both had multiple hit for the Pats. Gianna Guerriero also hit a triple and drove in two runs.

The Patriots (36-9) will continue their series with Daytona (25-24) on Saturday at home with a double header starting at 1 PM.
