Pats Sweep Doubleheader at FSCJ

The road warrior Pats traveled to Jacksonville to play the Blue Wave and came out with two big wins to improve to 16-4 on the season. In game one's 12-6 victory the Patriot offense hit three long balls and 15 total hits in the game. CF homered in each of the first three innings. Hannah Meyer hit one in the first to get the Pats on the board. Hailey Scott added a solo homer in the second and Brooke Roberts hit a 2-run homer in the third. Anna Toon struggled early in the circle giving up four runs in the first and one in the second before settling in and completing five innings for the win, her second of the season.

In game two the Patriots pitcher H Guffey dominated the Blue Wave hitters for her ninth win of the year. She struck out 11 batters and allowed only one hit, a home run that was the lone run for FSCJ. The Patriot offense mustered another double digit hit performance scoring nine runs and stealing five bags. In the second inning the Patriots scored on a Cameron Wolfenden single and then Guerriero doubled to score Madi Wicihowski and Wolfenden. Roberts then singled in Guerriero for the fourth run of the inning. The Pats would add another three runs in the third and two in the sixth to seal the run rule victory.

The Patriots will be back on the road again this weekend with games on both Saturday and Sunday in the Courtney Miller Invitational in Longwood, FL.
