Patriots Win Two Over FSCJ

The College of Central Florida won both games over Florida State College at Jacksonville by the run rule, 12-0 and 9-1. In game one the Patriots took a 4-0 lead in the first inning on two errors and singles by G Haas and Abbey O'Connor. They later added 7 runs in the fourth to increase their lead to 12. Abbey O'Connor (3-3, 2 RBI), Kamaya Cohen (3-4, 2 R), and Emily Konz (3-3, 2 R) each collected three hits to lead College of Central Florida Patriots offense. ThePatriots also stole seven bases in the game. Savannah Barnett led Central Florida to victory in the circle. She allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Madisyn Riggins threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen to close out the victory.

Emily Proctor pitched the Patriots softball to victory in game two 9-1. The righthander allowed one hit and one run over four innings. Katey Pierce threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Scoring six runs in the third inning helped secure the win over on Saturday. Patriot hitters contributing to the big inning included Emily Konz, Hannah Meyer, Abbey O'Connor, Gabbie Haas, and Kamaya Cohen, all driving in runs in the inning.

The lady Patriots return to action on Wednesday with a home double header vs State College of Florida at 2 PM
