Pats Split with St. Pete on the Road

Central Florida wins game one 5-3 behind another solid pitching performance from Savannah Barnett. The win was their 12th in a row. Barnett scattered 8 hits through 7 innings allowing only 3 runs despite the six errors made on defense. The Patriots first got on the board in the fourth inning with a home run by Alyssa Adams on the first pitch of the inning. In the fifth Madisyn Riggins hit a two out triple and scored on Kamaya Cohen's single. Cohen later scored on a passed ball and then Gabbie Haas singled to score both Brooke Robters and Alyssa Adams to increase the lead to 5-0. CF totaled 9 hits on in the game and Haas and Adams both had multiple hits. 

The Patriots fell 8-6 in game two vs the Titans, their first loss in the last 13 games. Brooke Roberts two run home run in the first got CF on the board early and they scored three in the inning. St Pete followed up with three runs of ther own in the bottom of the first to tie the game back up and then took the lead in the third with two more. The Patriots tied it back up in the fourth with an RBI ground out by Emily Konz to score Katie Hogue and a single by Cassidy Ross. The Titans took the lead back in the bottom of the inning by scoring two more and kept the lead for the rest of the game. Emily Proctor took the loss throwing six innings and giving up 8 runs, 5 earned, and striking out four. The College of Central Florida offense racked up nine hits in the game. Alyssa Adams and Katie Hogue both had multiple hits for College of Central Florida. Kamaya Cohen had two stolen bases, and the Patriots had six stolen bases in the game.

The Pats, now 19-5 overall, will go on the road again on Saturday to play two games at Eastern Florida State in Melbourne, FL starting at 1 PM.
