CF Baseball Scores 11 to Beat St Johns River on Tuesday

The Patriots power offense collected 18 hits in Tuesday's non-conference mid week game at St Johns River State College in Palatka. Kainen Jorge and Kareh Valentin both had three hits a piece. Jorge and Anthony Diaz both homered. It was Jorge's 10th home run of the season, tying him for the team lead. Edwin Toribio went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI in the game. Diaz and catcher Michael Guilliams both had multiple hits. Starting pitcher Cade Davidson threw a solid two innings. He did not allow a hit and struck out two. Evan Dobias earned the win in relief, his third of the year. He went two innings and scattered three hits while striking out three. Miles Curley also threw two solid innings in relief, allowing only one hit and striking our one. Todd Kniebbe earned the save. He entered the game with two on and one out in the 9th. He struck out the first batter and got the final out on a line out to right fielder Diaz. 

The Pats improve to 22-16 on the season. They next begin a conference series with Hillsborough Community College on Thursday at home. They will play a single nine inning game starting at 2:30 pm.
