CF Records 17 Hits, Four Home Runs in 12-5 Win Over Seminole

The Patriots belted four home runs in their 12-5 win over Seminole State College on Saturday to complete the three game conference sweep. Juan Correa hit two home runs again, which gave him six HRs for the week. Edwin Toribio also connected for a home run, his fifth of the week.

CF fell behind in each of the three games against Seminole only to rally in each game for the win. Pats were down 5-4 on Saturday heading to the eighth inning when the Pats' bats really woke up and they scored eight runs over the final two frames.

Brian Holiday started on the mound and tossed six innings, allowing seven hits, four runs, and striking out nine Raider batters. Isaac Sewell (7-1) picked up the win in relief throwing one inning with one hit, and one run. Cam Schuelke threw the final two innings allowing no runs, no hits, and two strikeouts.

CF had 17 hits on the day with seven batters getting multiple hits. Mike Guilliams (3-5), John Marant (2-5), Toribio (2-6), Correa (2-5), Kareh Valentin (2-4), Kainen Jorge (2-3), and Cole Bullen (2-5).

CF improves to 38-4, 11-3 and is tied for first place in the Mid-Florida Conference with Santa Fe College. Central Florida and Santa Fe will square off starting on Wednesday for the first game of a four game series.
